CFR Cluj hosts Pyunik in a second leg from the Champions League’s first qualifying round. We advice you to stay with us and our fixed football predictions for tomorrow. Let’s get to work!
The Romanian champion took a good strategic result in the first leg in Armenia. The game in Yerevan ended with a 0-0 draw which allows CFR Cluj to eventually decide the tie on home soil on Wednesday.
The truth is CFR Cluj missed a great opportunity to make their job even easier. Dan Petrescu’s team dominated the match in Yerevan and it’s obvious when you look at the stats. The Romanians made 13 shots towards the goal and had the chance to execute 11 corners. What CFR Cluj must do on Wednesday is be more efficient in attack. If they do it they shouldn’t have any problems to reach the Champions League’s second round of qualifiers.
The Romanians won’t approach this game in their best mood, though. On Saturday they had the chance to win a first trophy for the 2022/23 season, but they failed to do it. CFR Cluj faced Sepsi for the Romanian Super Cup in Arad, but suffered a 1-2 defeat. It was disappointing for the fans to see their favorite team failing to win the trophy, but it is what it is – now they have an important work to do in Europe.
Meanwhile Pyunik’s only problem is the lack of match fitness in official games. The Armenian league still haven’t started so Pyunik had play just one official match so far – against CFR Cluj.
The Nigerian striker Yusuf Otubanjo will be one of Pyunik’s biggest hopes for success on Wednesday. The 29-years old African joined the club in the summer and he certainly knows how to score goals. Let’s see how the Romanian defence will handle him.
That’s the fixed football predictions for tomorrow for the Champions League qualifier between CFR Cluj and Pyunik on Wednesday. We wish you good luck!
